I saw this little video and thought it was a great idea for our audience. A Sports Fundraiser like this could be put on by almost anyone in whatever country your from. It also helps people keep active and get involved.
We work with sports teams, state and provincial, school or university to help athletes. If you need help raising money for uniforms, equipment, travel or training programs look us up at justfundraising.com and maybe we can help you out.
Did I mention that justfundraising.com works with schools and their sports and music groups to help raise money for their funding?
We help raise money for new equipment, uniforms, transportation, training and other expenses. If your university or school needs a hand raising money this year we might be able to help you out.
In the meantime check out some great drumming from the Hampton University Drumline!
See … again I’ve worked music into the blog.
My powers are uncanny!
We are in contact with schools and amateur sports teams all the time. These guys and girls are training hard. We also take part in the amateur sports message boards and listen to what is being said by the athletes. We hear the teams tell us chocolate bars don’t really represent them, and they are looking for a healthier alternative when they’re knocking door to door looking for contributions. We listen to parents when they say they want alternatives that are new. Chocolate bars are great for some areas, but some schools need fresh ideas for a fundraising campaign.
Not only is this a great selling point for a fundraiser, by offering donors a change, but gets them away from eating sugar. While researching this blog I came across statistics on our sugar consumption that were staggering. Check out this website
The average American consumes an astounding 2-3 pounds of sugar each week…An influx of sugar into the bloodstream upsets the body’s blood-sugar balance, triggering the release of insulin, which the body uses to keep blood-sugar at a constant and safe level. Insulin also promotes the storage of fat, so that when you eat sweets high in sugar, you’re making way for rapid weight gain…
One alternative is to sell items for a fundraiser. We think the environment fundraising things are cool. Things like cotton shopping bags and budding flowers. Events like celebrity baseball games and concerts are great ideas too. What else have you come up with?
What have athletes used as a sales item that sells well and is a healthy fundraiser?
What kind of different alternatives have your school sports team or amateur sports team done that got you away from chocolates? (Activities are ok, but I’m really looking for health here!)
